Dr. Raymond Melikian, MD, is an Orange County native and interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Dr. Melikian has a strong interest and extensive background in treating peripheral artery disease for limb salvage. He performed one of the first percutaneous trans-mural arterial bypass procedures in the Los Angeles County and has unique expertise in the procedure of distal deep vein arterialization for those suffering with severe microvascular disease. Additionally, he is well versed in superficial and deep venous disease, interventional oncology, advanced procedures for men’s health including prostate artery or varicocele embolization, women’s health treatments for uterine fibroids and pelvic congestion, as well as treatments for musculoskeletal pain helping patients find relief without surgery.
Dr. Melikian completed residency at the University of California San Diego with early specialization in interventional radiology where he served as chief resident. He then went on to complete an advanced fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago focusing on cutting-edge treatments in interventional oncology and venous disease. He spent most of his time practicing in Los Angeles at the prestigious PIH Health system and is now excited to bring his expertise to the Orange County area and serve the community where he was raised.
